The HSC Half-Time Show
Ladies and gentlemen, good evening! As my printer warms up to print a fresh set of past papers and notes, I thought I would put thoughts to keyboard as we approach the end of the second week of the 2009 Higher School Certificate.
For those of you playing at home, here are just some of the highlights:
English Standard/Advanced – Paper 1:
- Q2: The best creative writing story ever. Hands down.
- Q3: BOS pulls a funny, and specifies ONE related text only. Madness ensues.
…and the rest is pretty bland, so it ends there.
Not too happy with today, panicked when things started to go a bit awry and mind clouded up. Yay for awesome maths scaling!
I’m starting to feel like a vegetable. Or a zombie. I feel almost devoid of all emotion as I sit staring at these pages. Oh well, 1 week left. Then plenty of time to waste and ‘enjoy life’. For now.
4 days (+1) to study for 3 exams. This is it. This is home stretch – make or break. Why are you reading this? Wait, why am I writing this?
This is my desk pre-[T3]holidays (I will upload the full final assembly vid after HSC):

And here it is pre-HSC:

Look at how happy the ram is!
Anyway, keep working hard, and good luck! Ruse09 represent! 99 ATAR baby! (although I’m probably going to get 97ish because my English scales like crap D:)
Edit: Wow, this post really sucks. Sorry if you sat through it.
Hi Joseph. =)
haha I was going to say how your table is much neater now, but then I realised it was the ‘before’ photo.
Also, my dad has exactly the same light!!! That green thing! =O
Good luck for study and exams! I’ll go continue with my bio cramming..

lol, my desk is somewhere in between right now (although the pile is much smaller since I’m dumping stuff into boxes)
I think the lamp is a ‘banker’s lamp’. It used to be a touch lamp though, except the touch part doesn’t work anymore. I remember when it used to turn on randomly during the night when it was in my bedroom – quite spooky.
Gluck to you too! All the best for tomorrow!

Lol! nice work uncluttering everything =D
Ah boredofstudies forum; where less-able students go to complain, and where smart people go to troll xP
You’re not the only one thats feeling zombie/emotionless right now, i think i’m losing the ability to communicate intelligibly….
Good luck for next week!

Your first photo. Times the amount of mess by 10 or so. Then imagine it is on a floor. That is my room.
I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH SPACE TO WORK/WALK. I have to carefully maneouver through all the HSC junk before I can reach my bed- and if I accidentally kick something in my sleep, something will fall and crash – and the whole house would be awoken.
Damn HSC.
Hope you do well in your final stretch

Why am I reading this? D:
Your desk now looks “neater.” That’s how I clean up, because putting things into neat PILES makes things neater hehe.
Can’t wait til after HSC so I can clean my room (:
Good luck for the rest of your exams!

My room is fairly big, yet I still managed to cover 90% of surfaces with HSC junk, including the sofa-bed acting.

Hey you have DISTINCTIVE PILES in the second photo. Nice.
I moved my old table into my room for an increase in surface area. =D

Haha – your desk looks like nothing compared to mine. >> Actually, I’m in the process of throwing away all my junk that’s accumulated for the past 6 years. You know I still have stuff from Yr 7? Haha xD
